Board games have been a hobby of mine since I was introduced to Settlers of Catan back in college. That's long ago enough that I call the game "Settlers" and not "Catan"! Today I play board games with my wife Emily and our kids, with my friends at my house or at church game nights, and occasionally with my colleagues in higher education.
After several years of having friends ask me for board game recommendations for their families around the holidays, I started a blog to share some of those recs more widely. Then in the summer of 2020, when work was the busiest it's ever been, I decided to turn that blog into a podcast! I needed something creative to do that was all mine.
I think board games are a great way to connect with and build memories with family and friends, and I'm excited to share my favorite games here on First Player Token.
